The truth about word of mouth

Yesterday I went to a dinner party. In that dinner there was a little girl that should be around 6 years old. I spent the night telling her that I was an astronaut and the girl didn't believe in a word of what I was saying. I kept saying it was my profession and she kept saying she didn't believed in me. At a certain point I started thinking that even though it could be truth she wouldn't believe in me by any mean. But why wouldn't her believe me? The answer came with the end of the night. When her aunt showed up I explained her that the girl didn't believe I was an astronaut. The aunt confirmed my story and her attitude changed in a second. The expression and the way she talked at me. This made me think about how word-of-mouth works.
In a world where the messages keep on coming and a lot of them aren't true in who shall we believe? Obviously, in trustworthy people. So it doesn't matter that brands keep on saying they are good. People won't believe in what they're saying. They have to be loyal and say the truth and let trustworthy people pass their message.

Vote

Here's an idea to involve the consumer. An outdoor billboard which allows people to vote in their favorite ice cream. I would vote and I doubt anyone passing by that billboard wouldn't do the same thing. The design of the billboard... That's a different story.

Don't sleep at the party

It seems to me that this product is going to be successful because it fulfills the actual desires from these days. A cola targeted to young people that promises to keep them awaked. The campaign goes right to the point. It's not an award winning but it says everything.

Good ad/ Bad ad

Pure advertising coincidence? The products are rivals, the idea is good but exactly the same. It seems to me that there isn't any kind of coincidence and for what I know until now the Chantelle ad came out first than Wonderbra's.
We have to salute who had the idea in the first place and remind others that the lesson wasn't well studied. Even thought they haven't copied the idea, what I doubt, they should pay more attention to their competitors ads.
